Things that make you go hmmm…

Well, just a day after I wrote about the lyrics being changed in the song Shout to the Lord that had been sung by the contestants on American Idol on Tuesday night, they up and sing the song again on Wednesday night. But, the strange thing is, they left the word Jesus in this time. That seems extremely strange to me. First of all, i guarantee that Idol’s initial plans did not include the singing of the same song two nights in a row. They have just never done that before. Even if they had planned something like that, I strongly guarantee that it would not be of a very worshipful, Christian song. So, something to ponder, I guess. Furthermore, why would they include the lyric, Jesus, when they so obviously went to lengths to leave it out just the night before?

I had mentioned on the previous post that if I were Darlene Zchech, I would not have been happy with such a compromise. This makes me wonder if she was not, as well, and requested that the song be sung with the original lyrics. I guess we’ll never know, but this turn of events has been very interesting to me, to say the least.
